Manchester United are poised to reject an approach from Galatasaray for their captain, Bruno Fernandes. The Turkish club is reportedly keen to sign a star player this summer and had prepared a financial package that would have doubled the 31-year-old midfielder’s salary.

However, United's position is firm, stating that Fernandes is not for sale.

In other transfer news, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has confirmed that Julian Alvarez will be benched for their LaLiga opener due to a transfer dispute, with the striker reportedly pushing for a move to Barcelona. Meanwhile, Newcastle United have completed the signing of right-back Amar Dedic from Benfica for approximately £30m, making him their sixth summer acquisition.

Harry Kane is also set to open contract talks with Bayern Munich in the coming weeks, as he enters the final 12 months of his current deal.
