New Manchester United goalkeeper Janina Leitzig is gearing up for the Women's Super League (WSL) season, with the team heading to La Manga for a training camp between 14 and 19 August. Leitzig, a former Germany youth international, joined United this summer after a three-and-a-half-year spell at Leicester.
The 27-year-old expressed her enthusiasm for her new club, stating it is "such a big club and it's such a big honour to be here." She highlighted the team's strong character, high training quality, and excellent facilities at Carrington as key attractions.
Leitzig has signed a contract with Manchester United until 2029. United will kick off their WSL season on 4 September with an away match against London City Lionesses.
