Marvel Studios has confirmed a slate of upcoming films, with 'Avengers: Doomsday' kicking off the end of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on December 18, 2026. This will be followed by 'Avengers: Secret Wars' on December 17, 2027, which will conclude Phase Six.
Looking ahead to Phase Seven, Ryan Gosling is set to star as Ghost Rider in a new film directed by Shawn Levy, scheduled for release in 2028. This marks the third film adaptation for the character.
Additionally, 'Black Panther 3' is confirmed for December 15, 2028, with Ryan Coogler returning to direct. David Jonsson will play T'Challa's son, alongside confirmed cast members Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Denzel Washington in an undisclosed role.
Other confirmed projects include 'Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse' on June 18, 2027, which will conclude the animated Spider-Verse trilogy. An 'X-Men' reboot is also in the works, though a release date is yet to be announced. 'Shang-Chi 2' is in "active development," according to director Destin Daniel Cretton in July 2026.
The status of 'Armor Wars', reportedly redeveloped into a feature film, and 'Blade', which has been in development since 2019, remains uncertain. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige expressed disappointment in July 2026 regarding the lack of progress on 'Blade' with Mahershala Ali.
