Mike D, a member of the Beastie Boys, reunited with collaborators Money Mark and Mix Master Mike during a performance in Los Angeles on September 21. The trio came together to play their 1992 single 'So What'cha Want' at The Belasco, marking a notable moment at the end of Mike D's set.
The performance began with Money Mark on keyboard before the group launched into the track. Money Mark worked with the Beastie Boys on albums from 1992 to 2011, while Mix Master Mike also contributed to several albums and is currently the band's resident DJ.
During his set, Mike D also performed Beastie Boys tracks including 'Hello Brooklyn', 'Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun', '3-Minute Rule', and 'Body Movin'', alongside material from his debut solo album, 'Thank You'. The album was released last month and does not feature former Beastie Boys bandmate Ad-Rock.
