Millwall goalkeeper Filip Marschall has alleged that West Ham forward Taty Castellanos spat at him during Saturday's derby clash at The Den. The incident reportedly occurred in the second half while Marschall was delaying releasing the ball, with Millwall leading 2-0.
Marschall appeared to gesture towards his jersey, indicating he had been spat at, and Sky Sports reported that the fourth official confirmed an allegation of spitting had been lodged by Millwall staff. The alleged altercation took place in the penalty area after Taty closed down Marschall.
The match, the first between the London rivals in 14 years, ended in a 2-2 draw. West Ham recovered from a two-goal deficit, with Mohamadou Kante and Konstantinos Mavropanos scoring in the 74th and 80th minutes respectively, despite Kante later being sent off.
