A family from a quiet town in the UK is reeling after their cherished parrot, Co Co, went missing, and they are now being bombarded with prank calls claiming to have information about the bird's whereabouts.
Co Co's owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, has spoken out about the distressing experience, stating, 'It's been tricky trying to navigate who is telling me the truth. Every time I get a call, I get my hopes up, only to be let down.'
The family initially reported Co Co missing to the local authorities, who have launched an investigation into the parrot's disappearance. However, the situation took a concerning turn when the family started receiving prank calls from individuals claiming to have seen the bird.
'The calls started coming in, and it's been relentless,' the owner said. 'They're saying things like, 'I've seen your bird on a farm,' or 'I've got a picture of your bird on my phone.' It's just cruel.'
