Mohamed Salah has completed a move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, signing a two-year deal. The former Liverpool forward was greeted by hundreds of fans at Ataturk Airport.

The 34-year-old became a free agent after departing Anfield this summer following nine years with the club. During his time at Liverpool, Salah scored 257 goals in 442 appearances, securing two Premier League titles and the Champions League.

Trabzonspor announced on Tuesday evening that Salah would travel via Istanbul to formalise the transfer. The club, who last won the Turkish league in 2022, finished third last season, eight points behind champions Galatasaray. They are set to play a play-off to qualify for the Europa League league phase.
