Mohamed Salah has officially signed a two-year deal with Turkish club Trabzonspor. The Egypt forward is set to receive €17m (£14.5m) per season, as announced by the club on Thursday.

The 34-year-old former Liverpool player joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer. He will also receive a 20% share from products sold under his name, in addition to conditional bonuses each season, according to the club's statement to the Turkish stock exchange.

Salah left Liverpool after nine years, during which he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances and won the Premier League twice and the Champions League. His output reportedly waned last season, leading to him being benched in European games and a public spat with then-manager Arne Slot.

Trabzonspor finished third in the Super Lig last season, qualifying for the Europa League playoff round. The club's last domestic league championship was in the 2021-22 season.
