The Italian Grand Prix is scheduled to take place this weekend at Monza. The circuit has hosted more Formula 1 races than any other, having staged grands prix in every year since the inaugural season in 1950, with the exception of 1980 when it was undergoing renovation.

Monza is often referred to as the 'cathedral of speed' and is considered the spiritual home of Ferrari. It was also the venue where the first world championship was decided 76 years ago. Last year, Red Bull's Max Verstappen recorded the fastest lap in Formula 1 history during qualifying at the circuit.
