  • Motorway expects to reach profitability in 2026, ten years after its launch.
  • The company reported an 18% revenue increase to £78.8m in 2025.
  • Motorway secured a sponsorship deal with TNT for Premier League match broadcasts earlier this year.

Used car marketplace Motorway is projected to achieve its first profit in 2026, a decade after its establishment. Co-founder and chief executive Tom Leathes stated this expectation after years of significant losses.

The tech firm saw an 18% rise in revenue, reaching £78.8m in 2025. During the same period, pre-tax losses decreased by over £10m to £25.3m.

Earlier this year, Motorway, which has sold more than a million cars through its platform, entered a sponsorship agreement with TNT for its Premier League match broadcasts. This deal aims to attract a broader customer base.

Mr Leathes noted that while the company continues extensive brand marketing, it has improved its understanding of effective and impactful strategies.
