Self-employed estate agency network Moveli has introduced an earnings calculator designed to attract agents from traditional high street businesses. This initiative follows a period of rapid expansion for the upper-market brokerage, which has seen its network grow to over 100 self-employed agents across the UK in two years.
The company, founded in 2018 by Ben and Chris Littlewood, states that many of its recruits previously held senior positions, including sales managers and directors, at traditional estate agencies. Moveli's model allows agents to operate independently while utilising its brand, technology, and infrastructure.
The new Earnings Calculator enables agents to assess their potential income within Moveli's self-employed framework. By inputting average property values, commission rates, and conversion figures, the tool calculates the valuations, instructions, and sales needed to achieve a target income. Moveli claims that agents could potentially increase their expected gross fee income by 46.4% without generating additional valuations, based on illustrative improvements across four performance measures.
These calculations are illustrative and do not account for operating costs or the challenges of achieving the assumed improvements. The calculator's launch comes amid competition between self-employed agency networks and traditional businesses for experienced staff.
