Actor Mr T has publicly criticised the new documentary, 'Mr T: I Pity the Fool', describing it as dishonest and unfair. The 74-year-old, known for his role as BA Baracus in 'The A-Team', stated that he was not forced but chose to step out of the limelight after fulfilling his ambition to provide for his mother.
Among his objections, Mr T highlighted the significant time allocated to his former agent, Peter Young, who he claims he had to sue. Young is presented as the main source for claims regarding Mr T's 'diva behaviour' and 'bad decisions' professionally. Mr T also noted the omission of counterweights to a 'hardman' narrative and the limited focus on his longtime pastor, the Rev Henry Hardy.
The documentary, which has a 50-minute runtime, also reportedly misspells his birth name, Laurence Tureaud, as 'Tero'. Mr T's rise to fame included his role as Clubber Lang in 'Rocky III' before his iconic part in 'The A-Team'. He later faced a cancer diagnosis in the mid-90s and has since become a man of God, finding fulfilment in good works and preaching.
