Patrick Bryant, the former fiancé of South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace, along with business associates John Douglas Osborne and Eric Bernard Bowman, have been charged with sex crimes and voyeurism. The charges were brought on Wednesday by the state law enforcement division.
According to sworn statements from state agents, Osborne is alleged to have committed sex acts on a 23-year-old incapacitated and intoxicated woman in October 2018, while Bryant and Bowman reportedly watched. Agents stated the men discussed assaulting the woman beforehand, took photos, and recorded the incident, which was also seen on a security system feed at a home in Sullivan’s Island.
Osborne, 46, is charged with first-degree assault and battery and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Bryant, 53, and Bowman, 46, are each charged with voyeurism. Bowman also faces an obstruction of justice charge, after agents said he performed a factory reset on a phone sought by investigators and published a victim's name and video on X.
Mace, a Republican, detailed the alleged assault in a nearly hour-long speech in February 2025, naming the men and describing other photos and videos she reportedly found on Bryant's phone when they were together. At the time, Bryant denied the allegations.
