A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide after her husband and three-year-old son were found dead at a resort in the Poconos Mountains.
Pocono Township police identified the woman as 27-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison of Towanda, Pennsylvania. Police responded to reports of a "distressed female" at the Great Wolf Lodge resort.
According to a criminal complaint, Harrison allegedly told police she "wanted to be with her husband and son." Both were found dead in the room with stab wounds to their chests. Her husband was identified as Charles Harrison in the complaint, and her son as "TH."
Investigators reportedly found a butcher's knife and a smaller knife on the premises. Harrison had cuts on her left wrist and neck and was taken to a local hospital.
Pocono Township police stated that this case is an isolated domestic tragedy and there is no threat to the community. The resort expressed sadness over the incident and confirmed full cooperation with law enforcement.
