Netflix has made the rare decision to renew the psychological drama 'The Beast in Me' for a second season. This comes despite the series, starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, being originally intended as a single, completed miniseries.
The announcement follows Matthew Rhys's recent Emmy win for his performance in the show. Danes is confirmed to reprise her role as Aggie Wiggs in the upcoming season.
Gabe Rotter, a protégé of Chris Carter and Howard Gordon, wrote the first season's episodes. Gordon and Daniel Pearle, who produced the first season, will showrun season two. At the time of the show's November 2025 release, Gordon had indicated to Deadline that a follow-up season was a possibility.
