New benchmark service helps property agencies assess efficiency costs

A new benchmarking service has launched to help estate, letting, and block management agencies evaluate the financial impact of inefficient processes, underused technology, and lost leads.

  • The Property Agency Benchmark assesses agencies across five areas, including operational processes and technology use.
  • The service costs £1,000 for the first seven agencies, increasing to £1,250 thereafter.
  • Participating agencies receive a report within 10 working days, including three priority actions and financial impact estimates.

The Property Agency Benchmark, developed by property consultancy Olliverr. and marketing agency House of Marque, is designed to help agencies identify and quantify inefficiencies. The service examines operational processes, technology use, marketing, and lead handling to estimate the financial impact of identified issues.

Agencies begin by completing a questionnaire of approximately 20 questions. Olliverr. founder Sam Olliver then assesses the operational aspects, including workflow and technology utilisation. House of Marque’s Adam Graver and Lucy Collinge evaluate marketing strategies, customer acquisition, messaging, and enquiry handling.

Following the assessment, participating agencies receive a combined report within 10 working days. This report outlines three priority actions, estimates their potential financial impact, and projects the effect of changes over the subsequent 90 days. The process concludes with a 45-minute call involving representatives from both businesses.

The initial cost for the Property Agency Benchmark is £1,000 for the first seven agencies, after which the fee will increase to £1,250. This fee can be credited against further work commissioned from either Olliverr. or House of Marque.

Why this matters: The service aims to help agencies determine if existing systems are being used effectively and assess the potential return on investment for new technology.
