  • CentreMove offers real-time visibility of property chains to all parties involved in transactions.
  • The platform allows buyers and sellers to conduct searches themselves and communicate directly before offers.
  • The launch comes as collapsed property transactions are estimated to cost the British economy £2 billion annually.

A new conveyancing platform named CentreMove has launched in the UK. The platform aims to provide real-time visibility of property chains to all parties involved in transactions, including buyers, sellers, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and solicitors.

Developed by East Yorkshire-based conveyancing solicitors Jen and Gordon Sewell, alongside entrepreneur Gordon Quinn, CentreMove allows buyers and sellers to conduct searches themselves and access information directly. It also enables prospective buyers to contact vendors before submitting offers.

The launch occurs amidst concerns over collapsed property transactions, which are estimated to cost the British economy £2 billion annually. Data cited by the founders indicates that nearly a quarter of agreed sales in England and Wales failed to complete during the first months of 2026. Mortgage-related issues are reported as the primary cause of these failures.

Co-founder Jen Sewell stated that the platform aims to address communication gaps in the current system. Gordon Sewell added that "important questions about a property can take days to answer, while simple misunderstandings can quickly escalate into failed transactions, financial loss and avoidable disputes." The platform provides a shared view that updates in real-time.

Why this matters: The platform aims to address inefficiencies in the property market, where collapsed transactions cost the British economy an estimated £2 billion annually.

What this means for you: If you are buying or selling property, this platform could offer direct communication with other parties and real-time updates on your property chain.
