Peugeot has introduced its new electric E-208 GTI hot hatch. The vehicle is equipped with a 54kWh battery, providing 281hp to the front wheels via a Torsen mechanical limited-slip differential.
The E-208 GTI can accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds. Its starting price is £33,495, which includes the £1,500 Electric Car Grant.
The official WLTP-tested range for the E-208 GTI is 219 miles. This can be extended to 233 miles by opting for eco-oriented Hankook tyres, which are available at no additional cost.
The car features a lowered suspension by 25mm and a wider track, with 18-inch alloy wheels. Design elements include red go-faster stripes and model badges on the C-pillars, along with a gloss black splitter, roof spoiler, and aerodynamic diffuser.
