A new UK Auction House Performance Index has been released, ranking some of the country's prominent property auction houses. The index, produced by property investment research platform UncommonDeal, assesses 12 operators based on factors including success rates, buyer fees, and their suitability for different types of property investors.
The research aims to provide a comparative picture of the market, moving beyond overall auction market volumes to examine individual operators. It considers factors that could influence where investors choose to acquire property at auction, such as the types of investment opportunities available.
The findings indicate notable differences among the assessed operators, with top-ranked auction houses reportedly outperforming rivals across several measures. The index uses a weighted scoring system across six core categories, resulting in an overall Performance Index Score out of 100 for each auction house.
