Helen Jenner, the new leader of Reform Wales, has a background in teaching English. She previously taught at the Brit School for performing arts in south London, an institution attended by Adele and Amy Winehouse.
Jenner, who is the Bangor Conwy Môn MS, took over the leadership after her predecessor, Dan Thomas, resigned following an arrest. She stated that appearing before politicians in Cardiff Bay is "nothing compared to year 11 last lesson on a Friday."
Born in Neath, Jenner moved to Anglesey at the age of two where she learned Welsh. She studied English literature at Bangor University and was previously in a band called The Mephs.
