A new premium sleeper train service from German startup Nox Mobility is set to launch on 23 March 2027, connecting Hamburg and Munich. The service will offer one-way tickets starting from £55.
The overnight railway operator will run three trains a week in each direction, with stops in Bremen and Augsburg. Passengers will have their own "Nox Suite", which the company describes as a private compartment designed to function as a workspace by day and a lounge by night.
Nox Mobility states that the individual compartments will feature a large seat, a table, space for luggage, and power sockets. The seats can extend to two metres of space next to a window. The company aims to redefine short-haul travel in Europe, starting with this route, and hopes to connect 100 European cities by 2035.
Trains departing Hamburg will run on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 9:22pm, arriving in Munich at 8:14am the following morning. Services from Munich will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:20pm, reaching Hamburg at 8:27am.
