New Zealand achieved a decisive 54-0 win against the Sharks in Durban, marking their second game of the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry tour of South Africa. The touring side scored eight tries and prevented the Sharks from scoring.
Fehi Fineanganofo contributed two tries, with Damian McKenzie, Caleb Clarke, Jordie Barrett, Kyle Preston, Timoci Tavatavanawai, and Sam Darry each scoring one. Ruben Love added seven conversions.
Despite the victory, head coach Dave Rennie expressed concern after Damian McKenzie was forced off the field due to an ankle injury before half-time.
New Zealand is scheduled to play the Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday, followed by the first of four Tests against the Springboks in Johannesburg a week later. The series will conclude in Baltimore on Saturday, 12 September.
