New Zealand secure dominant WXV victory over Scotland

New Zealand secured a comfortable 66-14 victory over Scotland in the WXV Global Series at Hive Stadium. The Black Ferns, ranked second in the world, scored 10 tries against a Scottish side that struggled defensively.

New Zealand established their dominance early, with Mo'omo'oga Palu scoring the first try. Maama Mo'onia Vaipulu added a second, before Evie Gallagher scored Scotland's first try. Despite further tries from Justine McGregor and Elinor-Plum King for New Zealand, Gallagher scored again for Scotland, bringing the score to 24-14.

However, New Zealand extended their lead significantly before half-time with tries from Layla Sae and Amy Du Plessis. After the break, Amarante Sititi, Tara Turner, and Sae added further tries. Alena Saili scored New Zealand's tenth try in the final play of the match.

Scotland's next match is against Australia at Hive Stadium next Saturday. New Zealand will face England on the same day.
