Oasis star Noel Gallagher has secured planning approval for a significant renovation of his £11.5m Grade II-listed London mansion. Westminster City Council has given the green light for major works on the five-storey, seven-bedroom property.

The mid-19th century home has suffered from structural movement, water ingress, rising damp, and a deteriorating roof. Previous owners had also made alterations, dividing it into flats before it was converted back into a single home.

Gallagher's plans include extensive repairs and modern additions such as a gym, sauna, cinema room, and a basement bar. He also intends to convert an adjoining building into a one-bedroom guest suite and modify the rear extension.

Workers have already stripped back much of the interior. Architects aim to retain and restore original features like doors, architraves, panelling, and cornices. The project also incorporates energy-efficiency measures, including slimline double glazing and improved insulation.
