Yeung Sing, a Cantonese restaurant in Bingham, Nottinghamshire, reportedly lost hundreds of pounds due to two fake orders placed over one weekend. Owner Pok U stated that the incidents, which occurred on Friday 17 July and two days later, resulted in a loss of approximately £400.

The first fake order, valued at £250, was placed via the restaurant's website shortly before 20:00 BST on 17 July. Staff reportedly reopened the kitchen to prepare the food and drink, but the delivery driver found that the address given had not placed the order. The second incident involved a £150 collection order placed during the busy Sunday evening rush, for which no one arrived. When the restaurant called the number provided, the person who answered denied making an order and stated they had not heard of Bingham.

Pok U, 45, described feeling "shocked" and "undermined" by the incidents, stating it was the first time such an event had occurred in 12 years of business. Both fake orders were reportedly set for cash payment, which typically accounts for about 20% of the business's transactions. The owner has reported the matter to Report Fraud.
