NS&I Interim Chair Luke Jensen's Appointment Extended Until October

Luke Jensen's term as Interim Chair of National Savings and Investments (NS&I) has been extended for two months, from 1 September to 31 October 2026.

  • Luke Jensen's interim appointment at NS&I has been extended by the Minister for Pensions.
  • He will serve as Interim Chair for a further two-month period, from 1 September to 31 October 2026.
  • HM Treasury has initiated the process to appoint a permanent Chair to the NS&I Board.

The Minister for Pensions today announced an extension to Luke Jensen’s term as Interim Chair to the Board of National Savings and Investments (NS&I). This extension will see Mr Jensen continue in the role for a further two months, from 1 September to 31 October 2026.

Mr Jensen has served as Interim Chair since 1 September 2025. The extension has been made while the process for appointing a permanent Chair to the NS&I Board is completed by HM Treasury.

The interim appointment extension was made as an exceptional appointment without competition, following consultation with the Commissioner for Public Appointments. Mr Jensen has not declared any significant political activity.
