Figures show that the number of 16- to 24-year-olds who are not in education, employment, or training, often referred to as Neets, has decreased to below 1 million. This dip comes as Andy Burnham reportedly prepares new welfare reform initiatives.

Despite this reduction, the current number of Neets remains at the second-highest level recorded in almost 13 years.
