- RTX Spark systems feature a potent CPU, fast integrated graphics, and up to 128 GB of unified memory.
- The HP OmniBook Ultra 16, an RTX Spark system, was benchmarked as a fast Windows notebook for local AI.
- Prices for RTX Spark systems begin around $2,600, with top-spec models exceeding $6,000.
Nvidia's RTX Spark partner systems have launched, providing configurations designed for demanding local AI models. These systems combine a powerful CPU, integrated graphics, and up to 128 GB of unified memory.
HP's OmniBook Ultra 16, an RTX Spark platform, was recently benchmarked. It was found to be a fast Windows notebook for local AI tasks, featuring a 20-core N1X system-on-chip in the review unit.
The N1X chip integrates a MediaTek-derived CPU chiplet with a Blackwell GPU, using Nvidia's NVLink Fusion interconnect. The highest-end N1X SKU includes up to 20 CPU cores and a GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores.
RTX Spark systems are positioned for AI enthusiasts, researchers, and creative professionals who require substantial video memory. Prices for these systems start at approximately $2,600, with high-end configurations costing over $6,000.
Why this matters: These systems are designed for local agentic AI use cases, which Nvidia and Microsoft are promoting for "builder-class" systems. Microsoft envisions a future where Windows Copilot+ PCs run a mix of local and remote AI models, a technique it calls hybrid intelligence.
