Offshore sportsbooks offer betting on Little League World Series

Offshore sportsbooks are offering bets on the Little League World Series, despite US-regulated platforms banning such wagers. BetOnline says demand is high, with bets doubling from 2024 to 2025.

  • Offshore sportsbooks like BetOnline offer odds on the Little League World Series, while US-regulated sportsbooks and prediction markets do not.
  • BetOnline reports that bets on the LLWS doubled from 2024 to 2025.
  • Little League International has reiterated its opposition to betting on children's games.

Offshore sportsbooks are allowing bets on the Little League World Series (LLWS), a tournament featuring 10- to 12-year-old baseball players. US-regulated sportsbooks and federally regulated prediction markets such as Kalshi and Polymarket do not permit such wagers, though Polymarket offered LLWS bets in 2024.

BetOnline Sports & Casino, an offshore operator, says it offers LLWS odds because of customer demand. Brand manager Dave Mason said in a press release: “We offer Little League World Series odds because there’s a massive demand for it.” The release added that bettors wagered twice as much in 2025 as in 2024. Mason also claimed on X that more users are betting on a South Korea vs Canada matchup than on certain Major League Baseball games.

Little League International has spoken out against such betting. In a statement reposted on Wednesday, the organisation said: “Little League is a trusted place where children are learning the fundamentals of the games and all the important life lessons that come with having fun, celebrating teamwork, and playing with integrity, and no one should be exploiting the success and failures of children playing the game they love for their own personal gain.”

Why this matters: The availability of betting on children's sports raises ethical concerns about exploiting minors for gambling profit.

What this means for you: If you use offshore sportsbooks, you may encounter betting markets on children's sports, which are not available through US-regulated platforms.
