European mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion Oktagon has announced plans to host one large stadium show each year. This commitment comes as the company prepares for its 10-year anniversary event, Oktagon 94, taking place this weekend at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt.
The promotion previously set an attendance record for an MMA event outside of Japan in October 2024, drawing 59,148 fans to the same venue. The upcoming Frankfurt event is expected to host nearly 60,000 fans.
The new series of events, named 'Oktagon Infinity', will see its first show held in May 2027 at Düsseldorf’s 50,000-capacity Merkur Spiel-Arena. Oktagon co-founder Pavel Neruda noted the growing demand for MMA in Germany, supported by a deal with RTL, Germany’s public broadcaster.
Oktagon 94 will feature a main event clash between Christian Eckerlin and David Kozma. The fight card also includes Frederic Vosgrone against Karlos Vemola, and British fighter Marc Diakiese making his promotional debut against Fedor Duric. A half-time show by DJ Robin Schulz is also planned.
