Charles Oliveira will defend his 'Baddest Motherf***er' title for the first time in the main event of UFC 335 in Las Vegas, the last numbered fight card of the year.

The former lightweight champion will face featherweight contender Diego Lopes, who moves up a division after his knockout win over Steve Garcia. Oliveira, 36, became BMF champion in March by defeating Max Holloway via unanimous decision, using his ground game to secure the win.

Lopes, a 31-year-old Brazilian-Mexican, is seeking his first UFC title on 12 December. He has previously failed in two attempts against featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

The UFC also announced that Alex Pereira will take the co-main event slot against Sergei Pavlovich in a bid to earn another heavyweight title shot. Pereira, who is vying to become the first three-division UFC champion, was knocked out by Ciryl Gane for the interim title in July. Pavlovich is on a three-fight win streak.

Rising middleweight Bo Nickal has also been confirmed on the card and will face Joe Pyfer.
