An online pet supplies retailer, Funnyfuzzy Tech UK Co., Ltd, has been shut down by the High Court on 22 September 2026, following an investigation by the Insolvency Service. The company, which traded via funnyfuzzy.co.uk, was found to have received over £6.3 million in incoming payments between August 2023 and January 2026, despite having filed dormant accounts.
Customers had reported issues including undelivered or delayed orders, poor quality items, and difficulties obtaining refunds. The company reportedly refused to engage with investigators, claiming it operated outside the UK, despite selling products to UK residents and using a UK contractor for customer returns.
This is the second company operating under the Funnyfuzzy name to be wound up, with Funnyfuzzy UK Co., Ltd, a predecessor, also shut down in 2024 after trading in a similar manner through the same website. Mark George, Chief Investigator at the Insolvency Service, stated that those behind the company appeared to be ignoring UK company laws to make money with little regard for customers.
