The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has provided its initial update regarding the reintroduction of quarterly regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimates for England and Wales. This update details recent changes in data and methods aimed at producing seasonally adjusted current price estimates.
As part of this development, the ONS has also introduced a new indicative regional dataset and a data catalogue. The ONS has clarified that these regional GDP estimates are currently considered official statistics in development.
