Morrisons currently advertises a small breakfast with a refillable hot drink for £6.50 for over-60s. Flaming Grill pubs offer a two-course senior menu from £6.49, available Monday to Friday. Greene King pubs also have dedicated senior menus, with prices varying by venue, such as two courses for £7.95 or three for £8.95 until 5pm on weekdays at some locations.
Community-based options include Age UK cafés and lunch clubs, which provide affordable meals, though prices and availability differ by branch. FoodCycle offers free community meals in various towns and cities, utilising surplus food. Additionally, Sikh gurdwaras traditionally serve free communal vegetarian meals, known as langar, open to all visitors.
The Asda Winter Warmer promotion, which previously offered soup, bread, and unlimited tea or coffee for £1 to over-60s, ran from November 2025 to February 2026. Asda has not yet confirmed if this offer will return for winter 2026/27.
