Overpass, the Birmingham indie band, has teamed up with Nieve Ella for a new rendition of their fan-favourite track, 'Fall In Love'. The original song was featured on their debut album, 'Elsewhere, Always', which reached Number Five on the UK Albums Chart after its June release.
For this new version, Nieve Ella has rewritten the second verse, transforming the song from a one-sided account by singer Max Newbold into a conversation with two different perspectives. Ella's contribution provides a counterpoint to Newbold's delivery, with the pair harmonising towards the end of the track.
Max Newbold stated that Nieve Ella was their immediate first choice for a feature, citing their shared Midlands roots and mutual admiration. Ella expressed that her part on 'Fall In Love' is particularly special due to her personal connection with the song's themes of young love and a life on the go.
The collaboration was previously previewed when Ella joined Overpass on stage at Reading Festival last month. Overpass is set to begin their sold-out autumn UK and Ireland headline tour on October 23 in Belfast, and have also announced a larger headline run for April 2027.
