Ozzfest, the iconic metal festival, has confirmed its return to the US in 2027. This marks the festival's first appearance in America since 2018, following its previously announced comeback at Birmingham’s Villa Park.
The festival, founded by Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon, is being revived next year. An image of the late Black Sabbath frontman alongside UK and US flags was posted on Ozzfest's official Instagram account on Monday, September 21, stating: “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US.” The caption added: “More info coming soon. Where are you hoping Ozzfest 2027 will pop up?”
While the UK return is set for Villa Park, the same stadium that hosted Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s final performances in July 2025, no venue, date, or line-up has yet been announced for the US edition. Sharon Osbourne had previously confirmed the festival's return, stating her late husband had given his blessing, and that it would return to Birmingham before heading to America.
Sharon Osbourne has indicated that organisers are in discussions with potential artists, though no names have been revealed. Jack Osbourne has also stated that the revived event will continue Ozzfest’s tradition of showcasing emerging artists, with plans for at least one unsigned act to be on the bill. The original Ozzfest, which began in 1996, concluded its touring format due to rising demands from managers and agents making it financially unsustainable.
