Pakistan has taken immediate action following their Test series defeat to England, dismissing head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and sending seven squad members home. The decision comes after Pakistan lost by an innings at Headingley and then by 194 runs at Lord's, giving England an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that white-ball coach Mike Hesson will replace Sarfaraz Ahmed. The PCB also confirmed the release of seven players from the Test squad: Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar, and Khurram Shahzad.
