Housing Minister Matthew Pennycook has extended Pat Ritchie's term as Chair of Homes England for an additional six months, meaning she will continue in the role until the end of April 2027.
The extension aims to provide continuity of experienced leadership for the Homes England board. Ms Ritchie stated that this period is significant for Homes England as it continues to evolve to support government priorities and local ambitions.
Homes England Chief Executive Amy Rees CB welcomed the extension, highlighting Ms Ritchie's understanding of different regions and the challenges they face. Ms Rees added that Ms Ritchie's experience will help accelerate Homes England's regional model to work more closely with local partners.
