Paul McCartney has provided an update on the film adaptation of his 2005 children's book, High In The Clouds, expressing his admiration for Celine Dion's involvement. McCartney stated he was "blown away" by her work on the project.
The film adaptation has been in development for several years and is set to feature a cast including Hannah Waddingham, Idris Elba, Lionel Richie, Jimmy Fallon, Himesh Patel, and Ringo Starr. Tony Genkel is directing, with a script adapted by Genkel and Jon Crocker.
McCartney shared images of himself in a recording studio with Dion, noting the "amazing reaction to Céline’s comeback in Paris." He added, "I’ve just been listening to some of her parts and I’m blown away by it. Wow what a talent. We are very lucky to have her as part of the team. Can’t wait to share it with the world."
The plot of the animated film follows a teenage squirrel named Wirral who aims to restore music after an owl, Gretsch, bans it.
