Phoebe Bridgers has cancelled the rest of her intimate UK shows this week due to illness. The singer-songwriter confirmed on Instagram Stories this morning that she "got appendicitis for my birthday", sharing a photo of herself in a hospital bed.
Bridgers, who turned 32 on Monday (August 17), had played two small gigs at the Union Chapel in London. She was scheduled to perform in Kingston today (Wednesday August 19), followed by Brighton tomorrow (Thursday August 20) and Bristol on Friday (21).
These special shows were held to celebrate the release of her third album, 'Lost Weekend', last Friday (August 19). Banquet Records, hosting the Kingston shows, stated they are "working closely with her global teams" to provide an update on rescheduled performances.
Bridgers is also due to begin the North American leg of her 'Lost Tour' next month, with UK and European dates planned for November and December.
