Indie musician Phoebe Bridgers has released her third album, 'Lost Weekend', six years after her breakthrough during the pandemic era. The album has garnered a series of positive reviews, including a five-star rating from The Guardian.
Alongside the album's release, Bridgers has achieved her first solo charting single in the UK. Her distinctive writing style, which blends dry wit and pathos, has been noted as influencing contemporary pop artists such as Olivia Rodrigo and Gracie Abrams.
Bridgers' record label, Saddest Factory, which signed artists like Muna and Claud, was integrated into parent company Dead Oceans earlier this year following a trademark dispute. Her supergroup, Boygenius, formed with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, has won three Grammy awards.
To promote 'Lost Weekend', Bridgers opted for a series of secretive pop-up shows across the US, offering fans first-come, first-served tickets capped at $50. These mobile-phone-free performances allowed attendees to experience the new songs directly.
