A new play titled 'Buggers', which explores the relationship between artist Francis Bacon and his lover-muse George Dyer, is currently being performed at the Pleasance Courtyard in Edinburgh.
The play, written by Alistair Hall, draws on documents and letters from the Francis Bacon estate. Hall also plays Bacon, while Peter Clements portrays Dyer.
Directed by Alice Wordsworth, the production covers the period from their first night together in 1963 to Dyer's death in 1971. The play is scheduled to run until 30 August.
