Sebastien Pocognoli has named his first Scotland squad, introducing six new faces and recalling Hull striker Oli McBurnie. McBurnie last represented Scotland in 2021.

New call-ups include Swansea defender Stephen Welsh, Celtic right-back Colby Donovan, Brondby defender Luis Binks, Stoke centre-back Luke Graham, Hearts winger Josh McPake, and Sevilla striker Robbie Ure.

Goalkeepers Scott Bain and Jon McCracken, Udinese midfielder Lennon Miller, Sassuolo pair Josh Doig and Kieron Bowie, and Hearts attacker James Wilson have also been recalled. Pocognoli stated that "style of play" was a key factor in his selection.

The 28-man squad is set to play four Nations League games against Slovenia (twice), North Macedonia, and Switzerland. Napoli midfielder Billy Gilmour is included after missing the World Cup due to injury.
