The Pokémon Company has announced a new collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), which will bring special exhibitions and pop-up stores to various museums across Europe. This follows a recent mission where an ESA astronaut took a Pikachu soft toy to the International Space Station, where it spent 67 days and completed around 1040 orbits of Earth.
Over the coming months, temporary exhibitions focusing on space and Pokémon will launch at ESA sites before moving to major European museums. These exhibitions will feature themed panels exploring European space activities, such as launching missions and supporting astronauts, with Pokémon characters incorporated to add an engaging dimension to scientific topics.
Exclusive merchandise, including apparel, accessories, and collectibles, will be available at these locations. Tickets for the Pokémon x ESA pop-up at the London Science Museum are currently available.
