A man who made antisemitic threats in north London is being hunted by police, who have released CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
The Metropolitan Police launched the appeal following the incident in Stamford Hill, an area home to one of Britain's largest Orthodox Jewish communities. Officers have not disclosed when the threats were made or their exact nature.
The appeal comes amid mounting concern over rising hate crimes across the UK. Monitoring organisations have recorded a sharp increase in antisemitic incidents in recent months, sparking calls for stronger police action and heightened community vigilance.
Community leaders in Stamford Hill expressed dismay at the incident and urged residents to come forward with information. They stressed the need for visible policing and swift action to deter further antisemitic acts and reassure local families.
The Met has pledged to tackle hate crime "in all its forms" and ensure the safety of London's communities. Officers are asking anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to contact them immediately.
