  • There are no reports of any injuries from the crash.

Police are investigating after a car crashed into a house in the Glasgow suburb of Eaglesham. Officers were called to the property on Low Borland Way at about 13:20 on Friday, 21 August.

A large police presence was observed on the street, which was cordoned off, and the house was protected by temporary fencing on Saturday. Police Scotland has stated there are no reports of any injuries and inquiries are ongoing.

The incident occurred after reports of a resurgence of gangland violence in Glasgow this week. BBC Scotland News understands that Police Scotland is not ruling out potential links to Operation Portaledge, its investigation into organised crime across central Scotland.

The Daily Record reported that the Lyons crime family has allegedly ordered attacks on rival members of the Daniel clan. This follows a previous six-month gang feud that reportedly ended in July after dozens of arrests and a "resolution of differences" between rival groups.
