Portugal manager Jorge Jesus has affirmed that there is "nothing" to prevent the squad from being united with him, following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from the training camp. Ronaldo announced on Instagram on Wednesday that he had left the camp after discussions with Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proenca.
Ronaldo had played in Portugal's 1-0 win against Wales last Thursday and was on the bench for their 2-1 victory over Norway on Sunday, where he was an unused substitute. This marked the first time in 18 years he had been an unused sub for the Selecao.
Following Ronaldo's exit, Portugal played Denmark on Thursday, securing a 4-2 win. This victory is their third in a row, keeping them at the top of Group A4. Jesus stated his focus is on their upcoming game against Norway on Sunday.
