Premier League clubs have set a new summer transfer spending record, with outlays exceeding £3.3 billion. This summer's window also saw four of the top flight's five most expensive deals ever completed.
Manchester City made the biggest single acquisition on deadline day, signing Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea for £125 million. Other significant transfers included Liverpool's £120 million payment for Bradley Barcola, Chelsea's record signing of Morgan Rogers for £117 million, and Tottenham's recruitment of Sandro Tonali for over £100 million.
Overall, Manchester City led the spending with around £435 million in transfer fees. Chelsea followed with £349.8 million, and Tottenham spent £315 million. Chelsea also generated the most from player sales, recouping £385 million, while Aston Villa received over £300 million after selling six players from their last season's Europa League final squad.
