Nine Premier League teams have brought in new players ahead of the upcoming season. Newcastle have signed 20-year-old Bazoumana Touré from Hoffenheim, who was more of a creator than a goalscorer last season, with nine assists among his 14 Bundesliga goal involvements.
Arsenal has acquired Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge to replace Leandro Trossard. Tzolis was a highly effective creator last season, producing 135 chances, 52 of which came from set pieces.
Brentford has secured Mamadou Sangaré from Lens. The Mali international proved to be an all-round midfielder, ranking second in possession won in the middle third of the pitch across Europe's top five leagues. Everton has signed Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough for a fee that could rise to £25m, while Coventry has brought in 20-year-old Ghana international Caleb Yirenkyi from Nordsjælland.
Ipswich has spent £24m on Brazilian striker Emersonn from Toulouse. Aston Villa has signed Johan Manzambi from Freiburg, a forward-thinking midfielder who impressed at the World Cup. Hull has added Lucas Herrington, who was named to the MLS All-Star squad after his first World Cup campaign.
