Emma Raducanu will not be part of Great Britain's squad for the Billie Jean King Cup finals in China, as she remains sidelined with an injury. The 23-year-old was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon earlier this year and is still not fit enough to compete.
The initial GB squad for the tournament, which runs from 22 to 27 September in Shenzhen, includes Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart, Mika Stojsavljevic, and Jodie Burrage. Captain Anne Keothavong largely maintained the core of the team that defeated Australia in qualifying, with Boulter replacing Katie Swan. Sonay Kartal is also absent due to fitness issues.
Britain will open their campaign with a quarter-final against Czechia, whose team features Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova. Keothavong expressed confidence in her team, noting their strong record in recent finals, having reached the semi-finals in three of the last four seasons.
